2017 COLOURSCAPE MUSIC FESTIVAL
on Clapham Common

Sept 16th to 24th - FESTIVAL OF UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS AND SPACES

Eye Music Trust presents its flagship Colourscape Festival on Clapham Common in the world's largest Colourscape

Concerts take place on weekends from 1 to 5pm and on weekdays we present five days of colour and music workshops with public openings at 12 to 1pm

PLEASE NOTE THAT COLOURSCAPE ON CLAPHAM COMMON CAN BE VERY BUSY. TO AVOID THE QUEUES - BEST IS THE FIRST WEEKEND AND COME AT THE OPENING TIME TO BE SURE OF HEARING THE MUSIC PERFORMANCES.

Saturday 16 September: 1pm to 5pm - The Hermes Experiment perform contemporary music with an unusual line-up including harp double bass and voice

Sunday 17 September: 1pm to 5pm - Hans-Karsten Raecke performs on his unusual invented instruments. With other performers - more details to follow

Monday 18 to Friday 22 September

Colourscape open to the public lunchtimes 12 to 1pm only - reduced price entrance

Saturday 23 September: 1pm to 5pm

- Flutes of the World: Ethnic flute player Clive Bell performs on instruments ranging from chinese flutes to Japanese Shakuhachi. Simon Desorgher performs on the full range of concert flutes and Julían Elvira performs on the giant contrabass flute. PLUS computer processing by Lawrence Casserley and David Stevens to create a new world of flute sound

Sunday 24 September: 1pm to 5pm The 2017 Eye Music commission composed by Andreas Papapetrou

Andreas has proposed a "Promenade" piece for ten musicians leading the audience on a journey through the labyrinth of Colourscape
The colours of each space will affect the sound and mood of the music as the performers move through the labyrinth.

LOCATION:The festival site is on Clapham Common near the Windmill pub. Nearest access Rookery Road.

1 to 6pm weekends; 12 to 1pm weekdays

WEEKENDS: Adult - £10; Child - £5; Family £28
MONDAY TO THURSDAY LUNCHTIMES - Adult £5; - Child £2; Family £13
FRIDAY LUNCHTIME - Adult £6; Child £3; Family £16.00

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT HAVE FACILITIES FOR ADVANCE BOOKINGS. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR. COME EARLY TO AVOID THE QUEUES.
